We have posted a submitted version 1.2.2 of SF Bay News to the iTunes App Store. This update doesn’t add any new features, but unfortunately it does remove the San Jose Mercury News feeds.
We received a Cease and Desist from the Bay Area News Group asking us to remove the links to their rss feeds. Since we are a small development company, we don’t have the resources to fight this in the legal system and have decided to update the application to remove the feeds.
We feel that this is an unfortunate situation for our customers, as this reduces the amount of content that is available. We will be looking at ways for our customers to be able to get access to the content that they want to view.
We will keep you informed as developments happen.

Our server team spend some time and significantly improved performance for loading the Twitter feeds for the various news sources in the SF Bay News iPhone application. Now the list loads significantly faster. Since this change was done completly on our servers, the application installed on your iPhone doesn’t have to be updated.

We wanted to improve the look of SF Bay News in our last update. We worked with Elliot Ling at The Design Lab for all of our graphics. We had some ideas for the graphics that we wanted to use in our application, and he was able to run with them and create some great art for our application.
We would recommend The Design Lab for your graphic design work.
Here are some samples of the work for SF Bay News:

Our latest application is now available. Get It is an application that will, not only, help you remember to get things while shopping, but it will also help organize the various stops.
Get It will:
- Let you specify one or multiple stores for each item on your list
- Let you put stores on a map, either by moving a pin on a map, or by specifying an address
- Let you sort the stores by the number of items needed at each store
- Let you sort the stores by the distance to your current location.
With these features, you will be able to minimize the number of stops that you will need to make while running your errands
